Big Sale is Here-Do You Want Fries with That?

Of course, I do have a little business to take care of . . . Our ice cream social is today so I get the chance to meet my new little cuties! Then, Monday morning, bright and early, I'll be off to school again! Gotta make sure I'm ready by Wednesday when the kids come rolling in!

I have to say, this has been a fantastic summer. I spent time with family and friends. I wracked my brain trying to think of the teacher resources that I had created, and I think I only got 3 things finished! Yikes! . . . I didn't get much work done, but I think you have to choose real life once in awhile, don't you agree?!
Our babies graduated. They are the ones in blue. :)

Soccer . . .

Snacks and a drink . . . YES!

My one major goal was to finish my 'French fry' words bulletin board and I did it! It is a board for overused words . . .  the French fries are words to use instead of the boring words. I think it came out pretty darn good. I really think it will help the kids get rid of some of those old, tired words. Here's a picture of what is up so far.

Maybe some of you remember (or have pinned to one of your Pinterest boards) the cute 'I'm Lovin' It' board. I tried to follow the pins, but came to a dead end. Here it is on my Pinterest board. If you would like to check it out, just click the pic.

Thank you to whomever came up with this fabulous idea! (If you created it, leave me a comment and I will link this up to you!) I wanted to make it for myself, so I of course, made it into a packet. I think it came out well and I even made sure that the words wouldn't get all mixed up I put a little symbol on each fry and each cup. You can use the 'cups' that are in the packet, or you can go to your local French fry joint and beg for the little cups in the kid meals! (They make a small size now!)

Check out all the words that are included!

I still don't have all of the fries cut out yet . . . I'm trying to prioritize. I tend to go off on tangents and not get the important things done. I need to make labels for folders, just as one example!

I even added a page for the kids to write their most overused words on. I am going to put this in a page protector in the writing folders so the kids can write some 'fancier' words that they want to use in their writing for the day. They use a dry erase marker, erase and find different words on a different day!

Anywho . . . I really do need to write name tags and junk like that, so I am going to wrap up now. If you would like to check out the {packet}, it is on sale! Everything in my shop is on sale.

Hopefully, you checked out the {comic strip} and you won't forget. Especially if you listened to the sound track! If you didn't get to enjoy it, here is a {link}so you can check it out. I have to say, I think it was pretty darn clever. {Thanks Monica}!

If you missed the links to our stores, here they are one more time. Happy Shopping!

Gotta go . . . for real this time! Have a wonderful start to your school year! Now that my mind will be back in school mode, I should be back soon with more fun ideas to share!
