Okay...So, we were making our behavior bead key chains yesterday, and a little girl asked the boy across from her..."What is your favorite special? And not counting P.E...And not library or computer lab..."
LOL Okay, so what kind of question is that anyway? The only 2 specials that are left are art and music! I totally laughed out loud when I heard that! Maybe I should try that tactic with my students... you think?!
Do you have a funny kid story to share? I would love to hear it! Remember...we have a stressful job...we HAVE to remember to laugh...Kids are a HOOT!
I read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever just before Christmas break. One of my special needs first graders was really into the book. After reading Imogene's idea of how to steal a baby from the supermarket to play baby Jesus in the pageant, he announced with a loud huff, "Those dirty spies!"
ReplyDeleteI had to take a break from reading I was so tickled by his reaction.

LOL Too funny! I love when they make me laugh! :)
ReplyDeleteHilary, I love your blog and wonderful materials :) My 2nd graders are always cracking me up :) My favorite story from right before break was...A student said to me "Mrs. Lizak my brother says you're fat." "Thanks." I responded. Then, he finished by saying, "He said it's because your heart is so big." It definitely made me smile :)

I am a new follower. I am a kindergarten teacher, my most favorite funny story is...the fire alarm was malfunctioning and we were having fire drills everyday for about a week. After about the fourth fire drill one of my little guys looks up at me and with all seriousness asked, "so, when are we having the real fire."
ReplyDeleteI hope that gave you a little giggle,
