Kids are Smart People!

I was really stressing about how to get my kids to play different games when they were doing guided math stations. I wasn't happy with the noise level and the fact that it seemed like they were playing the same games over and over again. 


You might remember my game cart that I made up for guided math. Here it is again...

I've added some more games, but the kids still grab the same stuff!

Irritating!

So, I called the kids to the pit (that's what I call my open meeting area..."Go sit in the pit!")...We reviewed our rules and had a little talk. I expressed my frustration with the fact that they seemed to be playing the same things over and over again.

Then, one of my little cuties, raised her hand. Of course I asked her to wait until I was done ranting talking. As soon as I was done, she said..."Maybe you could put the games that you want us to play for that day in a box or something." 

Huh...never thought of that! 

Kids are smart people...I asked her if she would like to be my assistant!
