Who's In the Spotlight? Linky Party
I'm also having a bit of writer's block . . . What does a teacher talk about when not teaching? My mind seems to be mush and I can't get out of bed in the morning!
One of the awesome posts that Amanda has is about a plethora of word work ideas! I thought I had a lot of word work stuff! Check out this amazing compilation {here} or just click the pic above!!
Since most of us are on summer break and don't necessarily have too much 'teacher stuff' to talk about, I thought of an idea to help with my writer's block!
Do you know an awesome blogger that you go to for lots of great ideas? I do...and more than one too! I thought I would create a SPOTLIGHT Linky so we can share the love and maybe find some new and exciting blogs. If you would like to join the linky, just do this...
1. Write a blog post with one of your favorite bloggers in the spotlight.
2. Save the spotlight pic to your computer.
3. Take a screen shot of the spotlighted blogger's blog so you will have a pic of their logo.
4. Add the pics to your blog and link them to a favorite post from the blogger, not just the blog site.
5. Link up! Be sure to add the blogger's name or blog name. That way we can try to get a real variety of bloggers on our list! I'll link mine up first so you see what I mean.
6. Provide a link back to this post so others can join in on the fun. Make sure the link comes to this post and not just my blog. If you don't have a link to my post, the linky won't work.
I can't wait to check out your favorite bloggers! If you have more than one, add them in! I have a bunch and thought...what a great way to get rid of my writer's block and find some more awesome blogs!! Happy Summer to all!

What a GREAT idea for a linky party - thank you so much! I've been following blogs for several months now, and am trying to get up the nerve to start my own. It helps me get motivated when I find ones such as yours, that are so HELPFUL in their approach to posting.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see who everyone spotlights!
Pam, I felt the same way as you and followed lots of wonderful blogs (Hilary's included!) for over a year before I got up the nerve to start my own. You can do it! Teachers have so much to share and talk about and other teachers appreciate it so much! I know I do!
DeleteTake a deep breath, start simple, and go for it!

ReplyDeleteHi Hilary! I'm spotlighting Hope King from Second Grade Shenanigans! I had a bit of trouble with getting the blog name to show up though.
ReplyDeleteAny advice?
This is such a great idea! Can't wait to see where all the lights shine!
