Battle It Out with Math Games!
Do you STILL have 50 things on your to-do list? Mine keeps getting longer. I haven't had much time to do anything since the start of the year, but I am FINALLY ready to release some NEW math games! I have been working on these Math Battle and Imposter games for all grade levels. There are different rooms to escape as you battle it out! :-) Think of these as Mini Escape Rooms- Math Style!
Use as a review, independent at home or school or partner work!
I am also have been working on a series of Find the Imposter Games! These are for all grade levels. Check them out by clicking on the links below.
My students love the interactive graphics and beating the game to find the imposter.

It's Time for Fall Fun
It's after September 1st and even though that's not the "official" date of fall, I count it as the start. It is time to break out the pumpkins, apples, and cozy blankets! We celebrate fall at our school, but I do love that holiday at the end of October too. Get ready for fall!
Here are some of my Fall Mini Math Mysteries! These are perfect for stations, independent work at home or at school, or just a fun break. The BEST part is that the Fall Mysteries are FREE!

Primary Education - Making Math Workshop Work for YOU and YOUR Kids!
Math Workshop has turned out to be awesome! I have struggled with making this work for a very long time. It has really stressed me out. That is, until I found this {AMAZING tool} from {The Clutter-Free Classroom}! This is truly the only thing that has really made sense to me in my search for sanity. I used so much of this pack to get myself up and running, but needed to tweak a few things to make math workshop work in MY classroom.
I had a lot of trouble trying to group the pictures together and trying to say everything I wanted to say in my blog post, so I grouped my pictures together and put the info beside the pics. Hope this mess makes sense to you!
Did you see my math mystery, The Case of the Halloween Hullabaloo in the hands-on picture? I have this mystery for {1st}, {2nd}, and {3rd} grades. If you would like include {math mysteries} in your math workshop, you can find them {here}! They are great fun and can be used in so many ways!
- Print them on 8 1/2 x 11 to make a full size book. I do this, then put the pages in page protectors and then in a notebook. The kids can use dry erase markers!
- Print them 2 pages to a page, to make a 1/2 size book.
- Print the copies 4 to a page.
- Open the pdf document on an iPad, computer, or other device and have the kids go to the correct page in the story.
The {The Clutter-Free Classroom} has some awesome organizational tips included in the {packet} I bought. I just wanted to let you see how I made it work for me in my classroom. You know, that is what you need to do with any resource you use in your classroom. . . make it work for you!

Logic Puzzles for Little Learners
I have started using a different approach to math workshop (I'll have to tell you all about it in another post) and wanted some journal activities for my munchkins. When I first started trying to teach logic to my kids, I had to have help from THEM to figure the puzzles out! Well this year, I wanted to get my math kids thinking logically early on, but I couldn't seem to find any good 2nd-3rd grade friendly logic puzzles. So, what do you think I did? I made {my own} of course!
