Checking Over Our Tests

I told you how spelling is set up in my classroom, and I would like to share with you the way I give my spelling and dictation tests. I always make sure that the children read over the words that they have written. I explain to them that sometime words just don't look right! I took 2 videos to show how we review the words before the tests are turned in. This first video is our spelling test check!

Here is how I give my dictation test and how we review it. It's just a bit longer. . . Sorry!

If you still having checked out the spelling packets, you need to!

Thanks for reading!

  5. any chances that you have a 3rd grade spelling that makes sense in the works??? I despise our spelling right now...makes no sense, has no rhyme or reason to it....

  6. I think this makes COMPLETE sense! This is my first year teaching and I am kind of stuck doing a specific list. We are adopting a new reading series next year and there may be a chance to discuss other word lists. I will be bringing this up with my other teachers. I also love the way you have the kids read the words back to you. I will definitely by doing that soon! Thanks for the videos.
