Good Birthday Gifts and Goodies for Great Kids!

I was just going through my pictures and ran across this one. I wanted to share this with you in August . . . whoops!

Anyway, every year I gather together Dollar Tree and Clearance Goodies to make good birthday gifts for my kiddos. I'm sure lots of teachers give goody bags at birthday time, but one thing I do to take the pressure off during the school year is pre-bag the bags. That way, at birthday time, all I have to do is grab a bag and put it on the desk. I also found a cute star centerpiece that I set out to make the day special. The kids love seeing the bouncy stars right when they walk in the room.

Sorry I waited to share this in the middle of the school year! I guess it's better than never, right?

What do you do to make birthdays special in your classroom? I'd love to hear about it!

  2. Hi, Hilary!! I love the sparkly tree on the desk! That is a great idea! I put a Birthday t-shirt on the chair of my Birthday student. I am curious how you handle the summer birthdays. Thanks! Bev bwunderlin@lincoln27.net

    1. I love the t-shirt idea Bev! I celebrate the summer birthdays the last month of school. I find a day where no one has a birthday, and I put their birthday card on the calendar. That way, everyone has their own day instead of doing them all together at the end of the year. Hope that makes sense!
