More Math Mysteries

Since I have you here...I want to give you a peek at my newest math mystery! I have the 2nd and 3rd-grade ones done...The newest math mystery is called The Mystery of the Scrambled New Year's Snowman

I have had a request for a 1st-grade version. My biggest problem with a 1st-grade version is the reading part. So, for all of my first-grade buddies out there...I would love to hear your ideas on how you could use this with your firsties. I thought that using it with guided reading groups would work...I also have done these books with my whole class...they do the problems on their whiteboards and then write what page they think I should go to. I think you could have good discussions with the word problems as well.

I love your math mysteries! My students completed the Christmas one right before break. It was wonderful as an independent study for my high-achievers. They were busy as I was working with my small group. Wonderful!
