Freebie FRI-YAY!
Wow! It's been two weeks since school started for me and time is flying by. I know I need a break so wanted to give you a break by making a post of some of my favorite Freebies!

Oreo Moon Madness and a FREEBIE!
We have been talking about the moon for the past couple of weeks and now we are about ready to wrap it up. So today, we read Papa Please Get the Moon for Me by Eric Carle. (Such a great book!)
We then drew the phases of the moon on black paper with white crayons. We wrote the names of the different phases on labels and put them under our pictures.
Then came the fun stuff! I gave each of the kids a page with the sun, earth, and moon phases on it. Then, I gave them a paper plate, plastic spoon, and 8 Oreo cookies. (From my experience today, you need to use regular Oreos...the reduced fat ones barely have any white stuff! What kind of cookies are those???!!!)
We then went over the phases again...one at a time. I had mine under the document camera so the kids could see what I was doing. I used my spoon to carve the 'white stuff' out ...and then I scraped it off... And here is how they came out!
