I Love to Catch Them Applying What I've Taught Them!

Last week I was helping one of my little friends edit her story, when all of a sudden, she popped up, ran across the room, and got a {French fry} so she could spruce up her story! Thank goodness for iPhones and their 'snappy' cameras so I could get proof! Even better, she also used some of the 'w' cards from my {alliteration pack} to give her ideas for characters and for what was going on in the story! I love it!

Okay kids . . . I have to lay down . . . I hurt my back/neck and it hurts when I sit up. It's probably from being on the computer too much, you think?

Have a great week!

Helpful Hints from Hilary Part 2

Hi guys! Hope you are all had a magnificent Monday! I wanted to share a couple of ideas with you . . . Some from me, and some from my BFF.

The first helpful hint is how I help my kids know the difference between the 'new' listening station books from the 'old' aka the 'previously listened to' books and cds. Check out the video . . . seriously . . . it's only 54 seconds long.

Easy, peasy, right? I was in my BFF's room and checked out her French fry board. I really love the way she has it set up. This video is only 26 seconds long~just watch it!

Well, that's all the helpfulness for tonight! If you like the French fries, you can pick some up for yourself {here} now!

Another Way of Looking at Things!

I like the way my bestie displayed her learning targets. I wish I had one extra square inch in my room to display mine this way! (See the Command Hooks?) LOVE THEM!

Pick up your own DIY Learning Target Posters by clicking the pics!

She also displayed her French fry board in a neat way . . . Check this out! She made the little French fry packets that I put in my pack. Then, she put them in a pocket chart that you use for a calendar. Genius! I think I am going to have to change my bulletin board around. This seems a lot more secure and user friendly for the kids. However, my kids are doing a great job with the real fry containers, but I'm not sure they will make it through an entire year!

Grab your own French Fry Synonyms, {here}!

If you haven't signed up for the {giveaway} yet, you need to get in on this. $170 worth of teaching resources that you can win! Also, there's a rumor that there may be more than one winner! What? Hurry, there's just 24 more hours left! Entries end at 12:01, Sunday, October 28!

Oh, and by the way, if you don't win this time, I put my entire {store} on sale for 20% off for the weekend so you can scoop up some bargains!

Have a great weekend!
